Lakeridge Elementary Science Fair

March 7th, 2012
5 to 8 PM (student set-up 4:00PM)
Islander Middle School GYM

Lakeridge Science Fair is a noncompetitive event designed to teach students the true nature of science:  how fun it is to ask questions and answer them yourself!

Every student will have a chance to present their project to a real life scientist and discuss their findings.  A certificate and a Special Science Fair dog tag will be awarded to each child at the end of the event.

ENTRY is now CLOSED

We had a record number of entries:  144 projects and 169 students (and still counting)!  However, in order to accommodate this high volume we have moved the location and shifted the student set-up/checki-in time.

Please note new location:  Islander Middle School Gym!
Please note new student check-in/set-up time:  4:00-5:00 PM.*

If you did not receive a confirmation e-mail for your entry, please e-mail co-Chair Nathalie Bentov at bentovn@gmail.com.

Our goal:  ENJOY SCIENCE!

For 2012, we are trying to focus more on the students by these changes:

  • shorter presentation times
  • all presentations done by 7PM to enjoy pizza and entertainment
  • new interactive problem-solving exhibit:  The Infamous Egg Drop and Mr. Tim's Interactive Table
